Bare Minimums
I took myself to see Green Book last night.
Directed by Peter Farrelly it’s a beautiful look at life in all its shades of gray. There’s a particular scene in the rain that stays with me. For those that have seen it, you know what I’m talking about.
Both Mahershala Ali and Viggo Mortensen shine, pushing each other to the brink and going above and beyond to reveal their deepest fears.
We’ve all faced moments of genuine vulnerability. Whether we’ve been betrayed or simply misunderstood by our community, it can feel like our world is falling in on itself.
Yet we need to experience such lows in order to appreciate the stunning complexities of existence.
We need to fall in order to fly.
