Sustainability Now!
I recently returned from a week of R&R in Vietnam. My lady and I having planned an impromptu trip around a three-day press visit to the Six Senses in Ninh Van Bay.
The experience was exceptional, not least because of its incredible location, leaving me chuffed and very grateful.
What really socked me however was its rigid dedication to sustainable practices. The most visible example of this being its ban on plastic of any kind, a reality that really hit home after returning to the big smoke.
While it’s easy to write this off as an easy choice for an exceptionally exclusive resort (I know I initially did), it’s harder to face the facts. To remember the opportunity cost of such an exercise.
Swimming against the current is no small feat. It’s a practice that demands stamina and persistence.
Taking the time to do our small part, whether it’s lugging an eco-friendly drinking bottle around or ordering a case of recycled toilet paper, goes a long way over time.
Every step counts.
