I was in a funny old mood when I came across this quote while out for a morning walk, my mind trapped within a cloud of existential dread.

Marcus Aurelius’ quote, tattooed to the side of a yoga studio, brought me instant comfort and reconnected me with a fundamental truth.

No matter who we are, or where we’ve come from, we’re all going through this thing called life together. 

Seeking out a sense of inner peace within ourselves is how we learn to love and nurture the world around us.
