Eye of the Tiger

I caught the tail end of Rocky II on the telly. The final minutes leading up to the Italian Stallions showdown with Apollo Creed.

There he stands in his boxing trunks, fit as a fiddle, ready to do battle with the heavyweight champion of the world. It’s a powerful notion to see a man giving everything he has, both physical and mental, in order to bring his work to bear. 

Being a film fanatic, I’ve spent hours diving into Sylvester Stallone’s rise to glory, a rags to riches tale of a down and out actor who fought tooth and nail to bring his underdog story to the silver screen.

When we dream big we do well to remember that the road to glory is far from certain.

We need to inspire grit and resolve in order to see our dreams become reality.
