Taking Out The Trash
On my final morning in Hong Kong I decided to trek up the mountainside to Mid-Level, a densely populated neighbourhood sitting under Victoria Peak.
Weaving and winding through one dense street after another, my jaw found its way to the floor as I marveled at the urban sprawl. Such a feat of engineering humbling me inside.
As I tumbled up the final staircase, it suddenly dawned on me that I was surrounded by thick jungle. The air felt thinner up here. Virgin.
How was it I could feel completely alone in such a metropolitan wonderland?
I’d woken to a string of emails that polluted my vision. Left me feeling trapped in a cage.
Now all that noise seemed far away. Following my curiousity had put everything in its right place.
