Hands Up

In a moment of jetlag-induced hysteria (or just pure buffoonery) I misplaced my phone while attempting to juggle a handful of tasks in the same breath.

My heart rate accelerated and I became a hot mess in the blink of an eye as I checked the same places (desk, bathroom & freezer) over and again.

As I got to my breaking point I pulled myself up and forced myself to take a deep breath.

In that moment I surrendered to the fact that I had failed and called in the cavalry. With the help of my roommate I quickly discovered that I had abandoned it in the car.

Sometimes we need to have the courage to wave the white flag in order to succeed.
